| You
call Transformational Thinking a philosophy. What does that
mean?
A Philosophy is
a way of life. Transformational Thinking gives people the
framework through which to live their life. It doesn’t
tell people what to do, like many philosophies,
it tells people how they can achieve more
that they want to achieve and improve their lives.
How can it
be universally applicable?
It is universally
applicable because the skills within Transformational Thinking
are not related to any given field of expertise. They are
purely thinking skills. Transformational Thinking gives people
the system through which to filter the results of their thinking
skills to generate better decisions.
Do I need
to be a Philosopher to use Transformational Thinking?
No. You just need
to be breathing! But seriously, two of the main criteria when
developing Transformational Thinking were that it must be
skill based and simple. We have achieved that and already
taught it at kindergarten level, so this is easy stuff. Don’t
make the mistake of thinking that because something is powerful,
it must be complicated. That is linear thinking and Bill developed
this system to enhance that type of prevalent thinking.
Is Transformational
Thinking designed to change what I think?
Yes, you must believe
everything we tell you... But seriously, no! Transformational
Thinking is about choice. You don’t have to change what
you think! We simply give you skills that improve how
you think - there is a difference. It is up to you if you
want to apply what you learn, as it is with any new piece
of information. We argue that, to achieve better results in
our lives, we must first be prepared to challenge the assumptions
that we have made about it. This requires a broadening of
the perception to see more information. If you prefer to live
in selective ignorance, that is your choice, but clearly,
if we look at the results in this world using current linear
thinking models, there is room for improvement in all of us!
How long
does Transformational Thinking take to learn?
The skills take minutes.
Then you must practice it. Nobody has completed Transformational
Thinking because there is no end. This is not linear! All
you can do is apply what you learn and grow - forever.
Isn’t
this all theory? How can it be practical?
If the theory remains
in one’s head and does not reveal itself through the
hand, then it is useless. If one does not apply what one learns,
it is meaningless. Transformational Thinking is intended to
be applied, the skills acted upon and the results experienced
in the improvement of people’s lives. The system is
all about how to get things done, there is nothing in it that
can not be experienced as a result. We have seen, again and
again, the positive experiences people reveal to themselves
by applying what they have learned. Equally, there are those
that learn it, yet do not apply it. Not surprisingly, they
gain no benefit from simply ‘knowing’ it. But
that is their choice.
How can a
program of personal improvement help a corporation?
Firstly, Transformational
Thinking is a system of ‘reality improvement’,
be it personal or professional. Secondly, the fact of the
matter is that all corporations are collections of individuals
needing to have a ‘professional’ working relationship
together in order to achieve the purpose of that organization.
Very often, due to the structure and systems of corporations,
these relationships are highly ineffective at achieving what
they set out to achieve. This is, in part, due to the systems
and, in part, due to a misunderstanding of the needs of people
within the working environment.
The application of
Transformational Thinking within corporations shows people
how to achieve better results in teams by understanding the
nature of people and applying their thinking skills to achieve
those results.
As with all applications
of Transformational Thinking, the effectiveness is derived
by people looking at themselves first and seeing how they
can improve in order to get the job done. Its an inside-out
task, just like any other area of improvement.
We ask organizations
to commit to a transformation that steps away from the traditional
model of squeezing their people into the systems and enhance
that thinking to a point where people are the focus, not the
system. This approach includes people in the systems and creates
an enormous sense of inclusion in the goals of the whole company.
What is the
purpose of Transformational Thinking?
We believe that the
philosophy of Transformational Thinking has the potential
to help in every situation in which it is applied. It doesn’t
matter which area we are talking about here. All we need is
the experience of people who know their area of expertise
and the willingness to try something different and we believe
we can generate extraordinary results, every time.
Whether that is regarding
world hunger, the environment, energy shortages, drought,
poverty, crime, drug use, political systems, educational systems,
businesses, public institutions, it really does not matter.
Applying Transformational Thinking to any of the above and
anything else besides will deliver better results than not
applying it.
Our purpose is to
get this system to those people that can make a difference,
who are in positions that can make these decisions. Transformational
Thinking can help! Every time!
